The nuke setup and matte paint for this sequence includes MG and BG trees, houses, hills, and a layered sky dome with drifting clouds.

I set up the environment for this sequence which was reused to fill all the window views in the interior shots. The matte paint included a sky dome with layered clouds that could be brought to life with slight animation, multiple tree layers and even a layer of some distant background mountains.

Pugsley's rocket ride was a fun and complex environment to set up in nuke. I painted the layered sky dome for his crazy ride through the clouds, background trees, and in some cases ground extensions and paint overs, utilizing multiple tools to complete the task (Maya, Nuke and Photoshop).

I created the Nuke environment and matte paints for the destruction for the Adams house using a combination of Maya, Nuke and Photoshop. The destruction had to hold up from different angles, and include separate layers, so that the smoke could interact with the geos when added by effects.

I painted and set up the master layered sky dome nuke environment which also included drifting clouds, and background trees and ground (not seen at this angle). Sky dome was also used as part of a complex setup for the rocket-ride sequence (shown in my reel).

Background neighborhood, hills, atmosphere and sky all in separate layers, to give more control later in Nuke (as the Director dialed in the desired look).

All background vistas (included FG, MG and BG elements) were created using Maya, Nuke, and Photoshop.
